Quarterbacks typically wear red jerseys during practice, but thanks to a recycling initiative, Matthew Stafford and the other Detroit Lions quarterbacks are going green.

When the Lions practice on Wednesday, their quarterbacks will be wearing bright green jerseys. According to ESPN.com's Michael Rothstein, the special jerseys are made from 21 recycled plastic bottles.

It will be a bit of an unusual look, but the Lions are committed to being one of the greenest teams in the league.
