If you thought LSU and Oklahoma put beatdowns on VT and Miami then you must be mistaken. The Gators threw 59 on the Vols, most by any Gator team against the Volunteers since The Ol' Ball Coach was running the sidelines in Gainesville. Urban Meyer finally took a rival behind the woodshed, and he did it Gator style by scoring 31 unanswered points in the second half. Philip Fulmer must have thought Spurrier was on the other sideline the way the Gators kept scoring. I feel dumb for changing my prediction.

Tim 'Touchdown' Tebow had another excellent game (14-19, 299 yards, 2 pass TDs, 2 rush TDs). Tebow should be at the top of the list for the Heisman after the performance he put on Tennessee. Watching this game felt like paybackfrom those years when Fulmer got lucky. Other Gators did big things as well. Percy 'Show some mercy' Harvin had 120 yards receiving and 75 yards rushing with a 19-yard TD run. Brandon James returned the punt in this game that got called in last year's game. Just an awesome display of Florida Gator football.

The Gators were ranked #5 coming into the game. They are likely to jump to #4, over West Virginia, but not over the Sooners. They looked like the #1 team in the nation even those USC is toying with Big Red in Lincoln.
