HUSKIES POSTION BREAKDOWN: QB.

Quarterback: Jake Locker-6'3, 225 pounds JR (RS). Locker is the most dyamic player in the Pac-10 at QB and the best playmaker Washington has. He has amazing speed and can break tackles with ease. At throwing he has a cannon arm but lacks accuracy on his throws. When Locker went down in week 4 UW lost its leading passer, rusher, and touchdown leader. Locker now must adjust to a pro-style playbook, coaches have raved about his accuracy in camp, and his ability to learn quickly. 2008 stats: Passing: 512 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT, 103.5 rating, 53.8%. Rushing: 180 yards, 3 TD, 3.2 Rushing average. Games started:4. Look for locker to improve his passing and remain in the pocket and devolep as a passer. UW is only as good as Locker is and the team cant win without him. He currently owns the Pac-10 rushing record by a QB set his freshman year.
Ronnie Fouch-6'1, 203 pounds. SO(RS). Fouch was thrown into action after Locker's injury and struggled. He did decent for the first 4 games of the season, throwing for 512 yards, 3 Td, 1 int and a rating if 121.2. The last 7 games would turn into a nightmare as he would throw for only 459 yards, 1 touchdown and 12 INT, and a horrid QB rating of 40.8. Fouch can't be blamed alone for his stats as the running game was horrible and the line struggled. Fouch is a decent back up with good arm strenth, but dont look for him to be a starter for UW in years to come.
