SALT LAKE CITY - APRIL 25: Carlos Boozer #5 of the Utah Jazz comes down with a rebound in Game Four of the Western Conference Quarterfinals against the Los Angeles Lakers during the 2009 NBA Playoffs at Energy Solutions Arena on April 25, 2009 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Lakers won 108-94. An ESPN report has the Bulls, Jazz, and Blazers discussing a potential trade involving Carlos Boozer going to the Bulls, Kirk Hinrich to Portland, and Tyrus Thomas to Utah.

Portland would obviously have to give up something and it is probable more players will be involved to balance out the salary-cap numbers.

If the Bulls do acquire Boozer it puts them in great salary cap shape for the Summer of 2010! (coming to a theater near you). Boozer is scheduled to become a free agent and the Bulls already have $25 million free in cap space.

The trade is not imminent but the Blazers have coveted Hinrich as a back court compliment to Brandon Roy for awhile, the Jazz are trying to clear room in order to sign Paul Millsap, and the Bulls have coveted a lost post scorer since Jordan retired.
