Legendary boxer Mike Tyson has long led a larger-than-life existence, which is why the possibility of an upcoming biopic already has sports fans buzzing.

According to IGN.com, Tyson revealed at Comic Con that there are plans in place for a movie about his boxing career and life in general to be created with Jamie Foxx playing the lead character.

"Listen, me and Jamie Foxx are in discussions and within a year or 18 months we're going to do the Mike Tyson Story," the former world heavyweight champion said.

There are even plans in place to use performance capture technology in order for Foxx to play both the young and more recent versions of Tyson in the movie.

Tyson also made it known that one of the biggest names in the film industry will have a hand in the project as well.

"I think that Martin Scorsese is going to be involved in it as well," Tyson said.

To say that Tyson's life has been a roller-coaster ride would be an understatement. He has had plenty of triumphs, but it can be argued that he has experienced just as many failures. Because of that, Tyson is unsure if he will even watch the film when it is ultimately released.

"I'm never going to watch the movie of course because ... Or I'll probably watch it alone," Tyson said.

Formerly known as The Baddest Man on the Planet, Tyson is now 48 years of age. He has had plenty of time to reflect on everything he has done and there is little doubt that fans and critics alike will clamor to catch a glimpse of Tyson's controversial life.

Since Iron Mike has always been viewed as such a complicated and volatile person, ESPN is of the opinion that Foxx has a very tough job on his hands:

Tyson was the darling of the boxing world from 1985 to 1990 as he amassed a 37-0 record while knocking almost everyone he faced. Things changed when he was shocked by massive underdog Buster Douglas in 1990 as Tyson soon became known for his struggles outside the ring more so than his victories in it.

There is also no question that Tyson infamously biting the ear of Evander Holyfield during a 1997 encounter will be featured heavily in the film as well.

Tyson is an incredibly interesting man based solely on what people know about him currently. Adding in things that haven't been publicized over the years should make the film even more compelling.

Perhaps nobody's life is meant to be on the silver screen more than Tyson's, so moviegoers will eagerly anticipate any and all developments regarding this potential blockbuster.
