The phrase "breaking someone's ankles" is thrown around a lot in sports after an athlete pulls off a nasty move. It's often hyperbole, but if reports are accurate, Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles really does have some ankle-injuring moves.
During Chiefs training camp on Wednesday, cornerback Sanders Commings had to be helped off the field after suffering an ankle injury.
The cause? A nasty juke by Charles.
ESPN Chiefs reporter Adam Teicher described the scene:

On Thursday, Teicher tweeted some tough news:

Herbie Teope of The Associated Press later reported that Commings suffered a severe high ankle sprain and a broken fibula.
Note: No video of the play has surfaced.
