Romelu Lukaku's anticipated return to Everton was easily Wednesday's biggest story, as Chelsea officially sent him back to Everton in a £28 million move.

The physically imposing Belgian frontman had pined to stay at the Merseyside club after helping Everton to a fifth-place finish last term.

The Mirror runs their Lukaku package with the headline "Rotten Luk," referring to Jose Mourinho's perceptions that the player was too petulant to flourish at Chelsea.
