Dan Le Batard Attempted to Troll LeBron James in Cleveland Newspaper Ad

LeBron James is back in Ohio, so Dan Le Batard wanted to remind him and Cleveland Cavaliers fans where the NBA superstar earned his championship rings.

According to Cleveland.com's Evan MacDonald, representatives from The Dan Le Batard Show called the Northeast Ohio Media Group in hopes of taking out a full-page ad (shown above) in The Plain Dealer to troll James and the Cavs. Unfortunately for Le Batard, his ad was "politely declined."

On his show, Le Batard reportedly said that the ad was not meant to be mean-spirited. It was, however, supposed to poke fun at James and Cavaliers fans. One reason Le Batard wanted to run the advertisement is that James has never publicly thanked Heat fans for their support over the past four seasons.

Although he was denied from running the ad in one paper, Le Batard is reportedly trying to run the ad in the Akron Beacon-Journal.

Miami fans are still getting over losing LeBron, but it appears some are trying to have some fun with the situation.
