Manchester United showed off a slick bit of passing in Tuesday night's match against Inter Milan.

While the final ball was still lacking (the match finished 0-0, with United* winning on penalties), United fans must surely be encouraged by such fluid play under Louis van Gaal.

"Pass and move" may be a rather rudimentary football strategy, but it's certainly a step up from the "cross and hope" approach David Moyes employed from time to time.

Here's a GIF of yesterday's move from another angle:

*Originally said Inter won on penalties. Can we blame the ESPN scoreboard?
