There is a lot to be expected of this years Texas Longhorn football team. Most preview magazines and columns have them coming in at second behind the supposed clear cut winner Florida. Just to get this out of the way, everybody said the same thing about USC at some point in the season ever since there 2004 title run. Funny how that has turned out. Anyway, Texas should end up around there depending on how they do in some key games. The biggest one being Texas' contest with Oklahoma in Dallas.

Coming into this game there will be lots of scrutiny over last years BCS shake up that  put Oklahoma ahead of Texas giving Oklahoma a chance at the national championship. Of course that was an awful thing Texas fans were forced to go through and in my opinion like most people was the dumbest thing the BCS could do to its image that is already in the dumpster. Looking at the game and the head to head match ups, expect to see the battle of the trenches when Texas has the ball be a huge match up. Texas has an experienced and big offensive line that will be taking on a hard nosed OU defensive line. Both units coming into the season are highly rated and should have no problem taking there best shots at one another. This will most likely be over looked compared to the quarterback match up that is probably one of the most highly anticipated in recent years.

Assuming that both teams make it through there non conference schedule, these two could possibly be measuring up at 1 and 2 or 2 and 3. Right now, looking at the game prediction wise, I could not tell you a clear cut winner. This game should come down to the wire with both teams giving there all.
