Over the past decade or so, the USA swim team has become a buzzy subject as Americans have grown to celebrate the recent dominance of athletes like Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte in the Summer Olympic Games. In addition to the celebration of their astonishing in-race capabilities, fans have, at times, marveled at the diets of these world-class athletes.

Michael Phelps notoriously told reporters that he would eat 8,000-10,000 calories a day. It's been estimated as high as 12,000.

Ryan Lochte, owner of five Olympic gold medals in addition to three silver and three bronze, took to Twitter on Monday to show off a single meal supposedly worth 10,000 calories.

#Streamlining in preparation for my 10,000 calories. Let’s see your best pose. @swimtoday #funnestsport

One has to wonder what's for dessert.
