Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's 'Woman' Headline Highly Questionable

This headline could have been better.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has quickly received quite a bit of criticism after its unfortunate headline regarding Penn State hiring Sandy Barbour as its new athletic director. The headline simply reads, "PSU Selects Woman to Head Athletics."

While Barbour is now one of just a handful of women athletic directors at major universities, the newspaper definitely could have worded its headline differently.
