Miralem Pjanic Scores from Behind Halfway Line for Roma vs. Manchester United

Mark PattersonUK Staff WriterJuly 26, 2014

Miralem Pjanic bagged one of the greatest consolation goals you're ever likely to see as AS Roma took on Manchester United in a pre-season friendly on Saturday.

United had raced into a 3-0 lead by the interval, but Pjanic struck a goal back in the second half, spotting United goalkeeper Ben Amos well off his line and thundering the ball in from well behind the halfway line.

Were his theatrics the result of a bit of "football" training beforehand?

On Friday, Pjanic was shown drilling long field goals of the NFL variety at the Denver Broncos' training ground.
