Kyle Larson will start on the pole for the first time as a NASCAR Sprint Cup driver after blowing away the track record at Pocono Raceway in Friday's qualifying.
Larson ran his lap in the last of three qualifying rounds at a speed of 183.438 mph, finishing 0.03 mph ahead of Joey Logano — who had won the first two sessions, setting track records both times in the process.
It will be Larson's third straight race starting in the top 10, after beginning seventh last week at The Brickyard and third at New Hampshire in mid-July. He started fifth at Pocono back in June, finishing 14th.
Brad Keselowski will start third for Sunday's GoBowling.com 400, while Dale Earnhardt Jr. (who won at Pocono in June) will begin eighth and Danica Patrick will begin 10th.
