Former NFL quarterback Matt Leinart has some pretty strong words for actor Dean Cain.

TMZ Sports caught up with Cain, who is best known for his role as Superman in the television series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, to ask him about Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel. The actor shared his thoughts about Manziel's luxurious lifestyle, which prompted him to take a shot at Leinart.

Leinart, the 2004 Heisman Trophy winner, was a very popular man in Los Angeles during his time as the quarterback of the USC Trojans. Although he was a first-round pick, he never lived up to expectations in the NFL.

The 31-year-old appeared in regular-season games for three teams over six seasons. He entered the league in 2006, and it looks like his career may be over after being cut last summer.

Leinart may not have had a Hall of Fame career, but he can still say that he was an NFL quarterback. He let Cain know that he is proud of what he accomplished as an athlete, along with a few other words.

It may not be the best move to call out Leinart.
