When was the last time the Golden State Warriors had a top ten caliber player? Latrell Sprewell? Chris Webber? Chris Mullin? Rick Barry? Wilt?
I love Andris Bierdrins, okay? I've watched the kid grow up here. But, I've also watched the Warriors come all the way from sucking to the edge of greatness and back to sucking over the last five years. (I was also witness to the additional ten years of suckage before that).
Imagine this team;
The dynamic duo of mighty mites, Monte Ellis and Stephen Curry in the backcourt. Captain Jack at the three spot. Amare doing his thing at the four. And then we run Anthony Randolph and Ronny Turiaf at you from the five. Corey Maggette, Kelena Azubuike, coming strong off the bench to fill the twos and threes. Keep Speedy Claxton around as the wily vet who can show Monte and Curry what's up between the locker room and the hotel room. Keep Anthony Morrow as our secret weapon. Brandon Wright and Jermareo Davidson holding up the end of the bench. We solid.
Bundle up Bierdrins, Acie Law, and Marco Belinelli, throw in CJ Watson for good measure and make it happen. I want to believe again.
