Most NBA players don't want to admit that they got dunked on, but J.R. Smith has no problem owning up to the humiliation—even if it never really happened.
The New York Knicks star recently had a rough couple of seconds during a Drew League game. While trying to drive to the basket, Smith was stripped of the ball. He then unsuccessfully tried to make a chase-down block on his opponent.
Trying to chase down an opponent and block a dunk from behind doesn't really count as getting dunked on. However, Smith owned up to it on Twitter after the game:
Man just got dunked on at the drew!!!! 🙈🙈🙈 We won tho! 😐— JR Smith (@TheRealJRSmith) July 20, 2014
Does this count as getting dunked on?
