During this part of the rugby calendar, it's all about quality instead of quantity, with this week's collection of the biggest hits taking its influence exclusively from our Super Rugby qualifiers.

With a championship at stake, the Brumbies overcame the Chiefs in a fixture that saw both sides land their fair share of pain on the opposition before the Sharks edged past the Highlanders in another intense qualifier.

And it's appropriate that Canberra captain Ben Mowen should draw in the biggest praise of all en route to the Brumbies' achievement, using those long lock limbs of his to keep his enemies at bay in confident fashion on Saturday.

Joe Tomane also gets a mention for his overzealous attempt to stop Gareth Anscombe from scoring, while Bundee Aki contributes the Chiefs' only entry, although it did come in the process of a fine try for the centre.

We also see the Highlanders' Joe Wheeler put his body on the line in Durban, drawing in some damage courtesy of the Sharks' Jannie du Plessis, but you'll have to watch the attached video to watch all that action unfold.
