Seattle Sounders Start Make-A-Wish Teen in Friendly Match

This is how you Make-A-Wish!

The Seattle Sounders signed 18-year-old Xander Bailey as a midfielder for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the teen got to practice with the team alongside U.S. men's national soccer team members Clint Dempsey and DeAndre Yedlin. Anyone would have been happy with just that.

But on Saturday, the Sounders took it to the next level. Bailey not only got to attend the Sounders' friendly against the Premier League's Tottenham Hotspur—he also started the game.

Bailey took the pitch to a loud ovation from Sounders fans, and he even got a shot on goal.

The Seattle Sounders could have signed Bailey, given him a tour and called it a day. But they put in the extra effort to let Xander Bailey play alongside the pros. That is something he'll never forget.

Well done, Seattle.
