Anthony Bennett Ready to Play with LeBron and Step Up After Strong Summer League

Lance Fresh@@LanceFreshFeatured ColumnistJuly 18, 2014

Being a No. 1 NBA draft pick comes with a lot of pressure and responsibility. Especially if you weren't expecting to be selected first overall like Anthony Bennett was in 2013. After a highly criticized rookie campaign, Bennett has slimmed down to his preferred playing weight, changed his diet and dedicated himself to work in the gym.

With LeBron James returning to Cleveland, the Cavaliers have immediately become a contender in the Eastern Conference. I caught up with Bennett in Las Vegas to discuss playing with James and rookie Andrew Wiggins, and to gauge his confidence level after a strong showing during the NBA Summer League.

Do you think Bennett can change the minds of his critics? Comment below.
