Lance Stephenson and Roy Hibbert were teammates on the Indiana Pacers during the past four seasons, but now that Stephenson has signed elsewhere, they will be battling against each other on the court next year. It's safe to say that Hibbert wishes Stephenson would have re-signed with the Pacers.

On Wednesday morning, The Charlotte Observer's Rick Bonnell reported that Stephenson had agreed to a three-year deal with the Charlotte Hornets.

A few hours after the news broke, Hibbert took to social media to post a few farewell messages to his former teammate:

Update: July 16; at 1:10 p.m. ET

Paul George also took to Instagram to say goodbye to Stephenson:

George also posted the following message to his former teammate:

Sad day #PacerNation!! Congrats to my brother @stephensonlance on his decision and his future.. Can't count how many times we shared this moment.. Although it's the end of the road it damn sure ain't the end for our bond.. Indiana you should forever hold a special place for Born Ready.. Congrats again bro! Love you
