The death of Eight Belles deserves a lot of public scrutiny. Mares' bones do not stop growing until they are 5 years old.

These horses are pushed too young and too fast.

Wendy's blogs show she has no respect for the horse and its role in our civilization.

Horse racing has been a blood sport for a long, long time.

  1. This is assinine. I feel like I am talking to a bunch of numb nuts that don't know anything about horses. Training two year olds allows there bones to mature to form to racing. Scientifically, and physiologically, there is nothing wrong with training a two year old. My PHD in equine orthopedics tells me so. Please don't even begin to go there.

  2. Please explain to me what the horses role is in our civilization. Horses don't pull carts anymore and are not a part of agriculture, so what exactly is there role in civilization.
