UFC 100: What's Happening After

With UFC 100 this weekend (possibly one of the best cards we've seen in a while), there are a lot of things to look forward to after July 11th.

First I would like to share some comments from two MMA legends whom many believe it may be time to retire.

We finally have an official statement from Chuck Liddell about his future:

"I haven’t personally made a decision one way or the other. Hopefully my brain can heal over time. The shot last fight is something that normally wouldn’t hurt me. I think I need at least some time off from getting hit. I’m going to take time off sparring then. I’ll train still. Still gonna roll. I’ll probably do a little more jiu-jitsu than normal because I like it. It’s fun.”

That pretty much squashes the fight with Rich Franklin rumored to headline UFC 103. Since the Iceman hasn't retired yet, I will bet that he will take that last fight on his contract.

Also, Tito Ortiz is still talking about his return and the time off has allowed his ego to grow even more:

“Hopefully by October I’ll be competing. We’re finishing the contract I’d say with CBS, Showtime, and Strikeforce and making a deal that UFC can’t match. I feel sorry for the person they have me fight, but I do need one warm-up fight. I managed to come off a huge back surgery. It’s been a year since I’ve competed. I think one warm-up fight to get things going. After that, I don’t want no more warm-up fights. I’m hoping by my fourth fight, possibly fight Fedor Emelianenko at a catchweight. That’d be something that I’m looking forward to possibly by the middle of next year.”

No comment needed.

Now for some post UFC 100 fight card updates.

All I can say for this card is wow. If you are a Strikeforce fan this is a must see fight card already.

The woman's MMA fight we all want to see plus two title fights. It really should be three, Diaz vs. Riggs for the vacant welterweight title. Either way I won't be missing this one.

UFC 105: Nov 14th, 2009, Manchester, England at the Manchester Evening News Arena on Spike TV.

Rumor is if Micheal Bisping beats Henderson at UFC 100, he will get a middlewieght title shot against Anderson Silva. Other than that no fights are confirmed.

UFC 106: Nov. 21st, 2009 in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Events Center on PPV.

I can't find any fight information just the date and location.

UFC 107: Dec 12th, 2009 in Memphis, Tennessee at the FedEx Forum on PPV.

Main Event: Quinton "Rampage" Jackson vs. Rashad "Suga" Evans.

The main event was confirmed by Rampage himself in this hilarious video:
