College Football Gets a New Championship Trophy for the Playoff Era

College football is getting a brand-new trophy to go along with the new playoff format starting this year. 

The trophy was unveiled at a press conference Monday:

Here's a look at the crystal ball trophy that has been presented since 1986 and will still be awarded to the team at the top of the final coaches poll of the season:
