The future of Chelsea's strikers will be big news this summer.

Jose Mourinho often lamented the firepower at his disposal last term, with Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba all failing to find the prolific form their manager desires.

Eto'o has since departed, and according to the Evening Standard, Demba Ba could be the next to leave.

Simon Johnson reports that Besiktas are interested in bringing the Senegalese forward to Turkey on loan for a season with a view to making the transfer permanent.

The same report also suggests Didier Drogba could be set for a return to Stamford Bridge (more in the next slide).

Chelsea's newest recruit, Diego Costa, will no doubt be hoping to replicate Didier Drogba's legacy at the club by helping the Blues to countless trophies.

As it turns out, the Spanish striker could have the opportunity to learn from the Ivory Coast forward, if reports in the Daily Mail of Jose Mourinho's interest in his former player prove to be true.

Drogba is a free agent after leaving Galatasaray at the end of last season, and Simon Jones reports Mourinho is eager to bring him back to Chelsea in a player-coach role.

Chelsea may have their work cut out, though, as Juventus and clubs in the Middle East are apparently chasing his signature.

One of many ongoing transfer sagas this summer, Chelsea's pursuit of Filipe Luis recently took another twist.

The Brazilian left-back has been forced to train with the reserves at Atletico Madrid as he attempts to force through a move to the Premier League.

The Evening Standard's Simon Johnson reports Luis has rejected the opportunity to discuss a new contract on offer at the Vicente Calderon, causing the club to punish him by making him train away from the first team.

Chelsea have raised their bid for the defender to £16 million, according to the report, and Atletico are set to accept the deal.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has added fuel to the fire over reports the Blues are in the hunt for Paul Pogba.

The Frenchman is valued at around £60 million by his current employers, Juventus, but it seems that Mourinho still remains interested in the player.

Mourinho spoke to the press about Pogba's displays at the World Cup, according to Squawka, describing him as the best midfielder in the tournament:

I would say Pogba [was the best midfielder at the World Cup], because he also had a good World Cup, in spite of the fact his team didn’t reach the last four. I think he showed that he will be a big player for the next World Cup, for sure.

Whether he will be a big player for Chelsea next season remains to be seen.
