The World Cup final takes place on Sunday, but you would not know it based on some of the sports pages in the United Kingdom.

It seems a record 10th-wicket partnership is enough to knock even football off the top of the agenda, with Jimmy Anderson and Joe Root supplanting Lionel Messi and Thomas Mueller in many spreads.

Still, there is a little World Cup buildup to be found, with Germany warning this could be the start of a dominant era for the national team.
