Yet in almost every estimation, Lionel Messi falls just short of being the best footballer ever because he hasn't won the World Cup.

He came so close in Brazil, falling in the final to powerhouse Germany. So now what? How will Messi be regarded? Does he have another World Cup run in him, and just how important is that championship compared to the Champions League?
