It's safe to say Rory McIlroy hit this well.
At the 2014 Scottish Open on Thursday, the 25-year-old had a 13th-hole tee shot that will go down as one of the best whacks of the year. It was so good that the cameraman had no idea where the ball landed.
McIlroy's tee shot on the 436-yard par four made it onto the green:
That shot went just a bit further than the cameraman expected.
McIlroy was able to birdie the hole and shoot a seven-under 64 on the day. That's a course record at Royal Aberdeen, according to Shane Bacon of Yahoo Sports.
