According to MLB Public Relations on Twitter, no MLB player has sold more jerseys this season than the Bronx Bombers' captain:
Some might view buying Jeter's jersey as a poor investment since he is set to retire at the end of the season, but the No. 2 Yankees jersey is iconic and will have a great deal of meaning for as long as the sport of baseball exists.
Even at the age of 40, Captain Clutch is having a productive campaign, batting .270 with 24 RBI, and fans elected him to his 14th All-Star Game. That was done out of respect more than anything, but Jeter is deserving of the nod since he is the guy who fans want to see.
His place atop the jersey sales list confirms that and proves that Mr. November still has it even as his storied career winds to a close.
