As training camp is less then a month away, we do not see many free agents who could be finding a job this season.
However, the league still has a big name out on the market— wide receiver Marvin Harrison.
There have been reports of teams targeting the veteran receiver.
I have come up with five teams that could use Harrison in their offense.
No. 5: Baltimore Ravens
Under new head coach and rookie quarterback Joe Flacco, you can say the offense was more productive in years.
But there is room for improvement.
After showing interest in Anquan Boldin, and rumors of Brandon Marshall swirling around, the depth of the receiver core needs to improve.
Bringing in another veteran like Harrison alongside Derrick Mason could open up opportunities for Mark Clayton and L.J Smith.
No. 4: Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys have reportedly been linked to Harrison in the past few weeks.
I think it could work.
With Owens out of town, and the uncertainty of Roy Williams, Harrison as a second receiver wouldn't be a bad idea. Marvin can be a contributor while the flow of the offense can be made around Jason Witten and Williams.
No. 3: New York Jets
The New York Jets have been one of the most active teams in search of a receiver.
After not signing Plaxico Buress, nor trading for a receiver, could Harrison make sense in New York?
With Mark Sanchez looking to be the starting quarterback in Week One, he could really use a veteran receiver in Harrison to help him with his decisions in the offense, and make a few grabs.
No. 2: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
One team that has not been involved in talks with Harrison is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, though they have been pursuing Plaxico Burress for quite some time.
As in the situation with Mark Sanchez, he can help a possible rookie starter in Josh Freeman. With questions regarding Bryant, and if he can perform as he did last season, having Harrison could help out the rough situation in Tampa.
No. 1: Minnesota Vikings
The latest gossip has the Vikings as a good place for Marvin Harrison to land, and I tend to agree.
Bernard Berrian had a career year, but who's to say he'll crack that number again, even with Brett Favre as the quarterback?
After all, the running game is a big part of the offense. A Hall of Famer teaming up with another future Hall of Famer?
Could be a good fit out there in Minnesota.
