Lionel Messi's Argentina held their nerve to beat the Netherlands on penalties and go through to the 2014 World Cup final.

And the joy on Messi's face was there for all to see. 

Messi's legacy in football, already full of glory with Barcelona, could be completed by victory on the international stage.
