The Pirates made a big trade June 31 that involved Nyjer Morgan, Eric Hinske and Sean Burnett. Many might say "here we go again'', "they said we were building on speed and then we trade our speed".

I am still questioning why this happened, but this could result in a good trade. Lastings Milledge has went from Nat to Buc and has some pretty sweet stats. Aside from him hitting only in the low .100s this year, in seven games he is a pretty good player often compared to Nyjer Morgan with more power. Now we have even more dreadlocks!

Reliever Joel Hanrahan was also a part of the trade coming from Washington to Pittsburgh. He didn't really look like much with one good year. He had an ERA just under 4.00 which isn't all that great for a reliever. He does not have good command, but the Pirates have a very good pitching coach. Maybe they can work with him extra.
