With all the rumors circulating about Felipe Melo's possible arrival at the Emirates with Emmanuel Eboue going the other way, the soap opera that is Emmanuel Adebayor's future at Arsenal has lost its appeal.

Reports today of a possible swap of Adebayor for £20 million plus the return of Fabregas's former best friend at the club Mathieu Flamini from AC Milan will make Melo seem far too expensive and bring the Adebayor saga right back to the boil.

Flamini would be welcomed back with open arms by most Gunners fans and then we would have 20 million to throw at a striker like Chamakh or Villa or someone of that ilk.

The other option, apparently, for defensive midfielder is of course Felipe Melo of Fiorentina. Reports coming out of his club indicate they are willing to be more flexible with his buyout clause if Arsenal throw Eboue in as a sweetener.

However, we would still be losing money on the deal in the region of 15 to 20 million pounds if reports are to be believed.

This makes this latest deal all the more appealing as we would be getting a world class workman foil to Fabregas's genius in addition to some much needed ammunition in this ultra-competitive transfer window.

What does everyone think: Flamini or Melo, who would you have?

And are you ready to see Adebayor leave?
