Over the past two decades many great Superstars have wrestled. However, I think that a few have shone more brightly than others. This is a list of the greatest Superstars who have stepped inside the squared circle.

For those of you who think I should have put legends from the earlier years: I started watching wrestling in 1998, but i have seen almost all of 'Taker's matches via Youtube and Tombstone the DVD, and that is why you shouldn't expect people like Macho Man, Ric Flair and other legends on my list. This slide show is only based on what I have seen, and I have never seen legends in action. Ric Flair wrestling for Evolution does not count. I think they played a huge part in WWE's succsess and I have seen great matches from the past, but this is the list of the time since Austin gave the KotR speech.

Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho, the nine time Intercontinental Champion, is one of the most humorous superstars ever to in the WWE. Jericho is a complex character who can play the role of a face or heel, and performs both of amazingly. Jericho's in-ring performance is equally as impressive as his outside performance. He can do just about any type of moves; high flying, technical, submission, and many more. Currently, Jericho is the best heel in WWE and is having a great feud against Rey Mysterio.

Mankind

Mankind was a great entertainer who always gave 110% in the ring and outside. Although Mankind didn't get tons of World Title reigns, he will always be remembered as the person who brought crazy gimmicks into the WWE. Mankind was a creepy character in the 90's and gave the WWE Universe amazing matches; most notably the Hell in a Cell against Undertaker.

Eddie Guerrero

Viva La Raza! He lied, cheated, and stole his way to the top of the industry and we would not want it any other way. Eddie only held the world title once, but he was a decorated champion. Guerrero will always be remembered as the person who cheated, but proudly told the rest of the world about it.

The Rock

The most electrifying man in sports entertainment was the best comedian in WWE's history. His feud with Steve Austin was epic, and whenever he got into the ring, it was bound to be sold out. Rocky was a charismatic man with a lot of talent, one of which included dissing anyone he ever met. He was always entertaining to watch.

Shawn Micheals

"The Icon, the Showstopper, the Main Event," Shawn Micheals. He was one of, if not the greatest, performer in WWE's history. Micheals revolutionized the ladder match when he went up against Scott Hall. Micheals has always given his all in the ring and will probably be remembered as one of the greatest superstars in the history of sports entertainment.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley

The Game, Triple H is one of the most dominant superstars in the WWE. He has held the World Title 13 times. Triple H is a complex character, he can play a funny heel (DX 1997- 2000) and a funny face (DX 2006-2008). He can also play a serious heel (Connecticut Blueblood 1995–1997) and a serious face. Although Triple H's talents outside the ring are impressive, his in-ring attributes are better. There aren't a lot of wrestlers who can excite the WWE in the ring as much as Triple H.

Stone Cold Steve Austin

The "Texas Rattlesnake" was a tough guy. He was a great performer as a heel character and as a face character. Austin's battled with the Deadman, The Rock, The Game, and many other greats. However, we will remember him most for his rivalry with the Chairman of WWE, Vincent Kennedy McMahon. Austin introduced the "Attitude Era" and made WWE as popular as it is right now.

The Undertaker

This selection may be biased because Undertaker is my favorite wrestler, but I think the Deadman deserves this spot. Undertaker debuted in the WWE in 1990. Ever since his debut, he has been the most dominating force in WWE. I have watched almost all of his matches, but somehow his moves still impress me. How can you not be impressed by a 43 year-old, 7', 300 pounder who can jump over the rope and land on his opponents safely, balance on the tope rope, or even tombstone a 400+ pounder? Those are in-ring abilities at their finest. His gimmicks and outside the ring skills are equally as impressive: the man still puts shivers down everyone's spine when you hear his "gong." Therefore he reached this list's No. 1 slot.
