Our latest look at the top Premier League players in action at the World Cup, with data from our friends at WhoScored.com, sees the highest ranking of any of the quarter-finalists go to Aston Villa and Netherlands defender Ron Vlaar.

The Dutchman's role in the 0-0 draw with Costa Rica, which the Netherlands negotiated on penalties, was crucial to his team.

With Premier League numbers being thinned out as we progress through the tournament, there was room on the team of the round for some fresh names, with the task of leading the line falling to Arsenal's Joel Campbell.
