Why Isn't Tony La Russa Getting Respect from Cardinal Fans?

Why doesn't Tony get the respect from Cardinals fans?

He is one of the best managers in baseball history. Us Cardinals fans need to be careful what we wish for, because we will not have the privilege of such a great manager for years.

The biggest beef that Cards fans have with him is his personality, or lack thereof.

Could it be that he doesn't live in Saint Louis?

Or is it that he over manages?

Either way, who cares?

I want to see the team win another world series. Tony is a guy whom I feel can get it done. The over-managing can be a bit annoying, but it works. We have a mediocre team tied for first place in the division. Why? Tony and Albert.

Once Tony is gone, we will be wishing we could have him back. His record with the team says as much. We have made the postseason seven times in 14 years under La Russa.

It's a World Series win, which we didn't have for 24 years prior.

And Tony is to thank for a lot of that. Our teams haven't been that great, with the exception of the teams in 2004 and 2005. We also had a good team in 2006, but we were injury plagued. Tony can be credited for the World Series.

We will grab another before he goes.

We win under Tony. What more can a fan ask for?
