shows, Felipe Melo has desire in abundance.

Felipe Melo, who will be 26-years-old in August, is relatively experienced and is already first choice in midfield for Brazil alongside former Arsenal player Gilberto Silva.

Eboue, on the other hand, has been largely ineffective last season and is no longer first choice for Arsenal. To be fair, he conducted himself very well after he got booed by the Arsenal faithful in the game against Wigan last year. He got his head down, worked hard and fought for his place.

However, with Sagna being first choice at right-back and the rise of Theo Walcott on the right of midfield means that Eboue's chances to play first team football will be limited next season.

Therefore, it's a good deal for both clubs: Fiorentina will get Cash (app £15m) plus Eboue, and Arsenal will get a world class defensive midfielder in Felipe Melo.

Also, new signing Thomas Vermaelen can easily play at right-back so Eboue leaving will not a huge blow to Arsenal.

Arsenal fans, what do you think about this proposed swap deal by Fiorentina?

I particularly want the views of Seria A fans and what they think of Melo as a player.
