If there was ever a doubt the Los Angeles Lakers would go full Hollywood in their recruitment of Carmelo Anthony, that was put to rest Thursday.

Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times reported their pitch included a four-minute movie depicting Anthony’s life, narrated by Tobey Maguire. Movie producer Joel Silver put it together.

James Worthy, Jeanie Buss and Mitch Kupchak were also involved in the meeting.

For the Lakers’ sake, hopefully Anthony is a fan of Maguire’s work. Otherwise, they might want to use 2014’s Spiderman, Andrew Garfield, next time.
