CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Indians have called up catcher Lou
Marson from Triple-A Columbus and put him in the starting lineup
against the Texas Rangers.

Marson was one of four players acquired from Philadelphia when
the Indians traded 2008 AL Cy Young winner Cliff Lee and
outfielder Ben Francisco to the Phillies on July 29. Cleveland
also got right-hander Carlos Carrasco, infielder Jason Donald
and Class A right-hander Jason Knapp.

Marson played in four games for the Phillies in April, batting
.235. In 91 games between Triple-A Lehigh Valley and Columbus,
he batted .277 with two home runs and 33 RBIs.
