Boston Celtics, Atlanta Hawks, Game Recap

No one saw this coming, did they? The Atlanta Hawks beat the Boston Celtics?

Yet here we are, the last series left in the first round, going into a win or go home in game seven.  Most people probably picked this to be the first series done and over with.

The Celtics’ inability to win on the road in the playoffs is obviously a bad thing, but let’s be honest this Hawks team is no pushover.

With players like Mike Bibby, Josh Smith, and Joe Johnson, the Hawks have their own big three to contend with the Celtics.

What is shocking is that when the starting lineup is taken out, the bench is still producing enough to keep the Hawks in the game.

The 66 win Celtics team we saw in the regular season is dying.  They are lacking confidence.  Otherwise, they would have disposed of the Hawks in five or less games.

Also with all the hype that has been put into the Celtics by the media, it was easy for them to get the idea that they were unstoppable.  We all thought it too!

This just reminds me that in the world of basketball any team can win on any given night.

Think of the story line.  The surging Hawks winning to get to the playoffs with a terrible season record.  Defeating the Boston Celtics, the team that was practically given the trophy half way through the season.

This is why I love basketball so much.  There is no such thing as a lock pick.
