UFC 100 Making History?

Alright UFC heads it is finally here, July 11th, 2009. UFC is finally turning 100 with their UFC 100th fight event.

I remember when UFC 90 came about everyone was hyping up how big and historic UFC 100 would be.

From Dana White all the way down to the wanna be fans everyone had high hopes and their own vision of how UFC 100 should go down.

UFC 90 took place in my hometown in the Chicago land area at the Allstate arena. The main headline fight was Silva vs Cote, where Silva won via third round TKO.

Since then Dana White has been hyping up a much anticipated fight between the top pound for pound Silva and the "Tom Cruise" of UFC, George St. Pierre. Many people including myself were hoping for this dream fight to land on UFC 100. But GSP is instead taking on Thiago Alves that night instead.

Silva has also been hyping up a much anticipated UFC fight with boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. Many fight fans including myself were hoping for this cross over fight to materialize and if anything end up on UFC 100.

Another top pound for pound boxer, Floyd Mayweather Jr, who has been quite vocal in his criticisms of UFC as a sport, was often challenged by Dana White to face any of his top welter weights in another cross over fight. Many UFC fans would love for Mayweather to back up his talk and face any of their top UFC champs.

Probably the the most historic fight that could be made for UFC 100 in my eyes would be to actually have Dana White himself step into the Octagon. White could throw down with UFC commentator Joe Rogan.

Or even better yet White could stand toe to toe with the WWE godfather of steroids Vince McMahon. I would actually pay the $60 bucks for the PPV if either of these last two fights were on the fight card.

So who is headlining UFC 100 then you might be asking? It is Brock Lesnar, the advertised "Most Powerful Man in MMA" vs Frank Mir, and of course G.S.P. vs Thiago Alves.

Are you satisfied to have this be the headlining fight line up for UFC 100? Or are you like me and were hoping for some super mega dream matches? I mean come on you only turn 100 once right?

If it were up to me this is how UFC 100 would go down:

The fight will be titled: UFC vs BOXING

Brock Lesnar vs Vitali Klitschko

Silva vs Roy Jones Jr

G.S.P. vs Floyd Mayweather Jr

Dana White vs Richard Schaefer

BJ Penn vs Manny Pacquiao

Joe Rogan vs  Max Kellerman

Hit me back and let me know your thoughts and what you would have on UFC 100 if it were up to you.
