Cricketer Denied Certain 6 as Ball Hits Seagull in NatWest T20 Blast Game

Ryan Higgins of the Middlesex Panthers looked sure to have scored a six during the NatWest T20 Blast against the Sussex Sharks, only for the ball to hit a seagull and fall short.

The seagull, as recorded by England Cricket, lands near the wicket and, fortunately, was able to shuffle away after the initial shock.

But the wicketkeeper's wince as he realises what has happened tells its own story.

Middlesex needed all the help they could get—they were bowled out for 107 and then lost the game by six wickets.
