What Was the Best Year for the WWF Attitude era?
Hello readers! After my last article I had many different thoughts of how my next article would go down.
Knowing how piss-poor my writing skills are, I decided to do my first slideshow, and I'll make it a poll.
Many dispute as to when the Attitude era actually ended. Some may say it was when the World Wrestling Federation became World Wrestling Entertainment.
Others may say it was when John Cena won the WWE title. Most probably say it was when Vince McMahon bought his main source of competition, World Championship Wrestling.
Lets just say for the sake of this article, the attitude era lasted from 1997-2001. Now we'll rundown important events from those years and you can vote for the year you believe was the best of the era we all love to remember.
1997 saw many things change. Shawn Michaels and Hunter Hearst Helmsley formed Degeneration X, we saw the very first Hell in a Cell match between HBK and The Undertaker, the debut of Kane, and of course, the Montreal Screwjob.
1998, was in my opinion, the best year for pro wrestling in general. This was the beginning of what would be known as the "Austin Era".
We saw some AWESOME rivalries, the Undertaker/Mankind Hell in a Cell match, and the Monday night wars escalate. This was definitely the year for first-time champions.
Let's face it, 1999 was the year of The Rock. 1999 was when we got to see "The Great One" rise to his full potential.
1999 saw the Ministry of Darkness and The Corporation become the Corporate Ministry, the WWF debut of "Y2J" Chris Jericho, and the tragic loss of Owen Hart.

2000 was centered around a long-ass storyline about somebody running down Stone Cold Steve blah blah blah who cares?
Anyway... 2000 saw the rebirth of The Undertaker as the American Badass and also saw the only six-man Hell in a Cell match in history.
2001 might just be the most important year for the Attitude era because this was the year that the Monday Night Wars came to a surprising halt when Vince McMahon bought rival company, WCW.
This resulted in the invasion storyline which saw many WCW stars come over to the WWF and "invade," but of course, WCW's BIG stars were oddly missing.
No Sting, No Goldberg, and the NWO decided to show up after the storyline was over.
2001 also saw history be made with the crowning of the first ever Undisputed champion in Chris Jericho.
