The performance that Hedo Turkoglu put up in the playoffs was incredible.
If it wasn't for Turkoglu's smart shot decisions and great ball handling the Magic would have never won the only game they won in the finals or even gotten to the Finals.
You would think that someone that stepped up like that in the playoffs would have definitely had a spot on the team next year.
Turkoglu has reached an agreement to join the Portland Trail Blazers, it was kind of obvious that he was not going to get resigned once the Magic traded for the older Vince Carter, who has a large salary and plays small forward, which is Turkoglu's position.
This made it highly unlikely Turkoglu would be back in Orlando. But Turkoglu had been looking for a five-year deal around $50 million. Most Likely the cap will be somewhere between $57-59 million.
If it is that high, the Blazers can offer close to what Turkoglu want to get. I can see why they didn't want to resign him but why give that much money to Vince Carter.
If that the person they think is the peace to the missing puzzle then so be it.
