DENVER - SEPTEMBER 14: Wide reciever Legedu Naanee #11 of the San Diego Chargers makes a reception against the Denver Broncos during NFL action at Invesco Field at Mile High on September 14, 2008 in Denver, Colorado. The Broncos defeated the Chargers 39-

These are the players that I think have the abitlity to turn the Chargers around if they start. (or at least get playing time) I have followed these players either through their college careers or their early NFL careers. Some of these players may not pan out the way that they should, but for the Charger's sake, let's hope they do.

5. Louis Vasquez

Louis Vasquez has the build of a train. He is a great pass blocker but hasn't had much experience with the run at Texas Tech. If this kid can learn how to run block, I see him being an elite guard in a couple years. Better lineman make better running backs.

4. Bill Rentmeester

I expect this guy to get some major playing time. With a much better build than Jacob Hester, this guy could pave the way to one last great season for L.T. He is an excellent blocker and has even cought the ball out of the backfield. This kid is the definition of good work ethic.

3. Darry Beckwith

Man! Do the Chargers know how do find great talent or what? This guy was a total steal. We landed him as a rookie free-agent due to his injury plagued college career. If he can stay healthy, don't be surprised to see him move past Wilhelm on the depth chart. I see a new, energized linebacker group ready to wreak havoc in 2009.

2. Legedu Naanee

This is my favorite wide out on the team, folks. He is an amazing athlete. With great hands and pretty good speed, I see him being a deadly three receiver. He was recruited to Boise State as a quarteback, but he then realized he wouldn't start over Jared Zabransky. He then became the amazing wide out he is today. Can anyone say Wildcat?

1. Larry English

At first I was disappointed with this pick. Then I did a little research about this guy. He is someone who not only wants to be on the field at all times, but someone who wants the quarterback at all times. With this being a dangerous contract year for Merriman, English was the perfect way to go. San Diego got a very good insurance policy and an excellent player all in one pick.
