MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA - JANUARY 29: Andy Roddick of the United States of America congratulates Roger Federer of Switzerland after winning the semifinal match during day eleven of the 2009 Australian Open at Melbourne Park on January 29, 2009 in Melbourne, Australia. Once again these two great competitors face off in a grand slam final. I will outline what each guy must do to win, as well as match up shots.

Serve:

Roddick: Hit bombs, and hit them to the forehand of Federer. Roger's forehand is his better wing, but its not as good as blocking back Roddick's serve, which is how Federer returns the serve of Roddick.

Federer: First serve percentage is key. Roddick won't break most of the time unless you hand him at least three second serves in a game (probably more, actually).

Edge: Roddick

Forehand:

Roddick: Be clean off that end, and hit it HARD when you get the chance. The only thing you can do better than Federer on the forehand is hit it harder.

Federer: Move the ball around. You're at an advantage whichever side you hit it to.

Edge: Federer

Backhand:

Roddick: Try to draw errors by slicing the ball. Be consistent off the backhand. Use the down the line backhand whenever possible.

Federer: Get into rallies and take advantage of Roddick's tendancy of not knowing when to approach. No Shanks.

Edge: Federer

Volley:

Roddick: Excellent volleying against Murray. Remember that Fed loves to float his return of deep serves. Also, remember that your serve is the best approach shot in the game (except for Karlovic).

Federer: Don't put in extra effort to come to net because Roddick has good passing shots, but be natural at net when you are there.

Edge: Even, if Roddick decides to S&V a lot. Otherwise, Federer.

Finesse shots:

Roddick: Fed's never played your drop shot, and can't be confortable with it at this point. Use the dropper.

Federer: A drop shot is a good play. Be careful with the lob because Roddick puts away his overheads.

Edge: Even, if only for the element of suprise.

Coaching:

Roddick: Stefanki is a genius. Use him!

Federer: You're a genius. Use yourself!

Edge: Roddick

Intangibles:

Roddick: It didn't seem as if the crowd was too upset. Less pressure on his shoulders anyways.

Federer: You have a bunch of pressure right now. You've dealt with it excellently before though.

Edge: Even

Prediction: Federer in four sets. Three tough ones and one easy one.

I would love to see Roddick win, but this is turning out like the NBA Finals.

Federer=LA

Roddick=Magic (And boy is he going to need it)

Murray= Cavs

Thanks for reading everbody.
