At UFC Fight Night 43, Jared Rosholt faced off against Soa Palelei in a heavyweight fight in the co-main event. After three rounds, Rosholt was declared the winner by unanimous decision—30-27 on all scorecards.

Rosholt has now won seven in a row, including three in a row in the UFC. His overall record for his career is 11-1, with the lone loss coming from Derrick Lewis, who was successful in his recent UFC debut.

Palelei had been ranked No. 14 going into this fight, and a win over a ranked opponent will be great for Rosholt's standing in the division. Let's check out three possible opponents for his next fight.

Brendan Schaub

Brendan Schaub was on Season 10 of The Ultimate Fighter, where he lost in the finals to Roy Nelson. Since his time on the show, Schaub has gone 6-4, earning notable wins over Gabriel Gonzaga and Mirko Cro Cop, while faltering against Minotauro Nogueira, Ben Rothwell and Andrei Arlovski.

Schaub's most recent fight came against Arlovski, and after a largely uneventful 15 minutes, Arlovski earned the split-decision victory—29-28, 28-29, 29-28.

Schaub is unranked in the heavyweight division, but he has a recognizable name and a solid resume. A win over Schaub would prove that Rosholt is ready to start climbing up the heavyweight division.

Ben Rothwell

Ben Rothwell has never really been able to string together victories in the UFC. His record in the Octagon is 3-3, having alternated losses and wins in each fight. His most recent fight was a third-round TKO over Brandon Vera.

Following that fight, Rothwell was suspended by the UFC for nine months due to elevated testosterone levels, per MMA Junkie. He will be able to return in July and will likely look to get in the cage as soon as possible.

Rothwell is another fighter with a solid name in the heavyweight division, even though he is more of a gatekeeper. A fight with Rosholt would be a test for Rothwell, and a chance for him to win two straight for the first time since 2007.

Loser of Matt Mitrione vs. Stefan Struve

Matt Mitrione is another veteran of the 10th season of The Ultimate Fighter. Mitrione didn't make it to the finals, but he won his fight against Marcus Jones at The Ultimate Fighter Heavyweights Finale.

All of his professional fights have come in the UFC, and his record is 7-3 with the organization. His record in his last five fights is 2-3, having lost to Cheick Kongo, Roy Nelson and Brendan Schaub. He did earn a first-round knockout victory over Shawn Jordan in his previous fight.

Stefan Struve has been out of the Octagon for a long time dealing with a heart condition. His last fight, in March 2013, saw him get knocked out by Mark Hunt in the third round. Prior to that, he had won four straight.

Struve will likely run right through Mitrione, thus setting up Rosholt for a chance to face someone whom many fans know, and most seem to like.

Should Mitrione come out victorious, then Struve will have lost two straight, and the UFC will look to give him a winnable fight. Rosholt could be that winnable fight.
