James Rodriguez was the star as Colombia beat Uruguay 2-0 at the Maracana on Saturday, to advance to a World Cup quarter-final against Brazil.

The first real action of the match was a goal, and a sublime one at that—scored by Colombia's playmaker Rodriguez.

You just can't hit them any better than this.

Rodriguez scored again early in the second half—finding himself at the right place, at the right time, to double Colombia's lead.

That goal took Rodriguez to five for the World Cup, making him the tournament's top scorer (for now).

Uruguay needed to find a reply. They came close in the 80th minute when Maxi Pereira was denied by Colombia goalkeeper David Ospina.

Edinson Cavani came close soon after, but in truth Uruguay never looked like recovering their 2-0 deficit.
