Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal went into their match against Ghana needing a win at all costs. And while the pressure ahead of kick-off was immense, that didn't stop the reigning Ballon d'Or winner from giving the mascots a moment they'll remember forever.

As the children clamoured "Ronaldo! Ronaldo!," he responded by giving out hugs, pats on the head and conversing with them. That's a classy gesture from someone with so much riding on his shoulders.

While Cristiano went on to score the game-winner, it turned out to be in vain as Portugal were eliminated from the World Cup on goal difference.
