Blake Bortles Thought He Was Headed to North Coast

Blake Bortles, chosen by Jacksonville with the third pick in the draft May 8, thought he would be selected by the Browns one pick later. Bortles was on the Browns practice fields in Berea on June 27, along with the other AFC rookies as part of the NFL Play 60 rookie symposium. The Browns did get their quarterback, but not until 19 picks later, when they moved up from 26 to 22 to draft Johnny Manziel.
